Do you have strong networks and are you able to spot opportunities and new markets for fundraising? And are you eager to support the rights of some of the most marginalised peoples in the world?  

If yes, perhaps you are our new Donor Relations Manager and Fundraiser.  

IWGIA has ambitious goals to increase our support to Indigenous Peoples’ rights. As part of this we must diversify and increase our funding. As Donor Relations Manager and Fundraiser, you are key to making this happen by taking the lead on relationship building, donor reporting and compliance and fundraising.

Community protection mechanisms for women’s rights in Ecuador


67.8% of Indigenous women in Ecuador have suffered some form of violence: physical, psychological, sexual, in failures to pay alimony, inheritance conflicts, and denial of land access. In these cases, the new plurinational and intercultural State recognizes ancestral justice as a conflict resolution option coming out of the 2008 Constitution. Indigenous women demand that the State generate policies to prevent and punish all forms of violence, while also questioning the patriarchal mentality of their authorities.

The CHT Commission is deeply saddened and dismayed by the recent ruling issued by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Rangamati on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, regarding the disappearance of indigenous rights activist Kalpana Chakma. Under the supervision of Rangamati Senior Judicial Magistrate Fatema Begum Mukta, the court's decision to accept the police's final report, thereby absolving all suspects1, has left us profoundly shocked and disappointed.
