Nikita holds an undergraduate degree in Ethnology and a Master’s degree in political science. Prior to joining IWGIA in 2019, he was working in one of the major international humanitarian agencies. Among other things, he led humanitarian interventions in remote corners of Africa and South-East Asia.

In IWGIA Nikita is a team member for both Land Defence and Defenders programme, and Territorial Governance programme. He is also IWGIA’s safety and security focal point.
